Learn More About FossilPunk’s Sauriana Factions
September 12, 2016 by brennon
FossilPunk Foundry have revealed more information about one of the factions within their 54mm game, Sauriana. Would you be willing to head off on an adventure with The Explorer's Club's Gamekeeper?
With a pair of Gorgonopsid Hounds (Ancient, Prehistorical mammals) he epitomises the Pulp feel of the game world which draws from the likes of The Lost World, She, and King Solomon's Mines. It's fantastic to see this mix going on taking things beyond Steampunk.
Another of the characters also part of The Explorer's Club is The Scuted Lady.
She is much more of a supporting character for the Club and works by activating other Agents that you use in game and getting up close.
Check out the Rhinophile HERE if you want to check out one of their existing models.
The Game
In terms of general gameplay we did also get a taster of that too. You'll get to control between one and ten different Agents from the various factions, creating using a points limit, and then do battle in skirmish-style scraps with two or more people.
As mentioned before the feel for this game is definitively 'Pulp' so you'll not only be contending with each others factions but Dinosaurs and other weird beasts too.
A Kickstarter is planned for October 1st 2016 which will focus on the Rulebook and of course bringing these models to life.
Are you tempted?

I absolutely love the look and concept behind this… but I don’t collect 54mm scale minis… sad.

We explain in our blog specifically why we chose 54mm 🙂 sorry to hear you’re not interested in collecting at that scale.
sounds interesting, i’ll have a look.
This has peeked my interest will have more of a look when I get home, I like the fact it will be 54mm I’ve thought someone should make a larger scale game. They should be a joy to paint at that scale
