Rubicon Ready Big Guns & Machine Guns For World War II Gaming
September 8, 2016 by brennon
Rubicon have been showing off some of the work going into their World War II line-up and explore the look of their new artillery piece, the PaK Gun Crew as well as a Heavy Machine Gun too...
Here you can see a selection of the different crew figures that you'll be able to pick up for use with your army. I like it when we actually have characterful crews manning weapons and adding to the narrative of things going on on the battlefield.
The Heavy Machine Gun Team are also on the way too.
These are still a work-in-progress set but it's looking great so far. Having all of the HMG team on the same base makes for a little scenic 'shot' of the battlefield. All you'd have to do is make it so that maybe a few of the crew could be taken off as they take damage.
There's some rather cool defensive options coming for the Germans it seems so could they fit into your army?
Let me know!

Nice. I wonder if they’ll be sold as one big sprue of heavy weapons due to the expense of plastic injection molds.
great looking guns.
will the crews be cast in heroic proportions as per the Warlord minis?
These look like true scale 1/56 from the shots here.
I mixed the true scale Wargames factory German box miniatures with my Black Tree Designs and Warlord Germans and it didn’t look right to me.
That said I don’t think you would really notice if you have them as gun teams like this, because your eye usually treats these as a vignette / individual piece of it’s own and you can easily tolerate the contrast.
Paint and base them in a similar fashion to your Warlord scale troops and these should be great.
