Objective Infinity: Multispectral Visor Tactics
August 24, 2016 by dignity
We're looking at some technology this time on Objective Infinity as we delve into how to use Multispectral Visors in your games of Infinity.
"A Multispectral Visor is any device that augments the visual input of the user into normally invisible wavelengths, giving him a super-human ability to detect concealed enemies."
We'll be learning how to use this important piece of kit on the battlefield and why its so useful.

What's your best tactic for troops with these Visors?
Thanks for another good and interesting Video guys, i find those really helpfull for beginners, and the XLBS-versions have helpfull tipps even for someone who played this game some more 🙂
One thing justin it can be a hard habbit to break slow down and take a breath 🙂 if you want to shoot on your active turn but dont want to move, Idle first.
infinity content, my favourite.
see you backstage
I’m just hearing “negative 3 for this, negative 3 for that, negative 3 for this other thing but because he has level 3 and you only have level 1, he ignores that and you ignore this and that makes a total of negative 6″… “bang, your guy died on your own turn”.
What a pile of crap.
If you interested, why not head back a bit and check out the basic demo games and the latest how to play videos. Infinity rules can seem a little dense, but there are some real nice nuances to the game (the D20 gives a lot of additional flavour to weapon profiles etc) But agreed jumping directly into this kind of content probably isn’t going to make a great deal of sense. I had a similar issue with the to hit and to wound tables (still do sometimes in 40K) but just like 40K as you get more into it, it… Read more »
I have tried watching the basic videos a number of times on the recommendation that it is a good game but just can’t get past the fact that you can’t really do anything on your own turn for fear of getting sniped in the face. The fact that you have even had videos about how to set up the table to avoid getting sniped in the face on turn 1 speaks volumes. I like to watch videos on different games every now and again when they pop up to see if they pique my interest, even ones I’ve looked at… Read more »
It may well not be the game for you then 🙂
No bad thing as it means you can turn attention elsewhere. We hope to have a traunch of relic knights coming through soon, it’s very different and has some very interesting game mechanics – might be worth a look :)_
The infinity system is based completely around the idea that your opponent will have a chance to react to anything you do (provided models can see each other). If that kind of thing doesn’t appeal to you, and you prefer a system where you can spend your turn doing stuff where you interact with opponent very little beyond rolling for saves, then there is a weary of other games out there (war machine, GW games etc). Personally speaking I thought the BoW how to play Red Veil (and Ice storm) games were well put together with the latter getting me… Read more »
@lunchbox looks like you brought your anger from this week gw thread and thought that throwing out at the infinity community in general was the way forward .looks like your becoming the thing you hate .
mate don’t get dragged into that.
lets spread the love , lets try to make a positive change to the community .
we love our gw brothers
Just seeing if I’m allowed to voice my opinions in a crude manner on other threads without people expecting me to explain myself, as I am told is my right by other, vocal forum members. More of an experiment really, though I do really dislike Infinity game mechanics and miniature style with a passion. Seems the explanation is required after all. You don’t get Warren and others piping in on GW threads telling naysayers that “maybe the game isn’t for them” and that they should “turn their attention elsewhere”. I must apologise that my childish little experiment has tarnished this… Read more »
We don’t have time to monitor comments everywhere (really our hands are full with content and development we’d hope that adults can agree and disagree in an adult way) but we do try to keep an eye on comments on produced content to try and help gamers with questions etc if we can.
Now considering that you actually weren’t interested in getting help it feels a bit like I wasted a wee bit of time here, but I have no doubt that others who see this later may have the same questions about minus 3’s – so that’s something lol 🙂
Well said
You are one who keeps making big deal about it in every thread. If you did not then I am sure no one would pay attention to it. Just a though.
@mecha82 not sure what you’re getting at, but I have NEVER made a big deal about requiring an explanation for not liking something. I object to people being unpleasant towards others and being consistently negative for no real reason other than to invoke a reaction. It seems that it is frowned upon on an Infinty thread but actively encouraged on a GW thread.
Anyway, I have proved my own point to myself here so not a lot more to be said.
Apologies if I’ve upset anyone or wasted anyone’s time. (that’s more than you’ll get from trolls on a GW thread).
@lunchbox these two parts: “It seems that it is frowned upon on an Infinty thread but actively encouraged on a GW thread” and that’s more than you’ll get from trolls on a GW thread pretty much sum up what those posts of yours are all about. Blaming others that don’t share your opinion being ones to blame when it comes to all arguments while acting like you are saint. If you want people (including me) to treat you like mature then you need to do so with them and not take everything personally and get triggered every time some one… Read more »
Guys this discussion was closed down so folk can take a breather, I really really dont want it spilling out elsewhere.
So can we put it to bed now please? 🙂
As others have said idle then shoot for a 2nd action, if that is all you are going to do. My latest Pan-O list include a Black Friar who can’t be see by a MSV
