Kabuki’s Limited Edition Vixen Lord Is Pre-Released Upon The Galaxy
August 4, 2016 by dracs
Kabuki Models have put up their limited edition Vixen Lord for pre-order, the latest of their scifi pin-up models that bares a striking resemblance to a certain dark lord from a galaxy far, far away.
This limited edition version of the model comes with an alternate head option (bare head) as well as in a custom packaging signed and numbered by the character designer Alessandro Shin Trombetta, making this a nice piece for collectors.
As a model this is quite a good sculpt. There is a lot of action going on here, while the pose comes straight out of a cheesey scifi pin-up poster. Having said that, when I look at this, the only thing I can think of is just how uncomfortable those armour plated underwear can be. Seeing the head of the most recognisable villain of all time on that body is also a little distracting.
Standing at 75mm in scale, this model is a collector's piece that will provide a cool and rather different painting challenge. I'd especially like to see some red glow effects coming from the lightsabre.
Will you serve Kabuki's Vixen Lord?

There’s something funky with the size of the neck between the helmed and naked heads, like the helmet is very tight around the neck and much larger without. No wonder Darth Vixen would have that raspy voice with the heavy breathing. She would be choking.
Lawsuit waiting to happen…
As well as a nice hate campaign for pure unadulterated sexist objectification.

She actually looks very nice without helmet. IMO that helmet does not suit her at all.
This popped up on my Facebook feed the other day, I wondered when it would appear on here.
Normally I’m totally behind companies that make Pin-up models. They’re not my thing at all but each to their own. But this one just looks fucking weird, really, really weird. The limited edition helmet-less one doesn’t look too bad, but obviously without the helmet you lose the concept of who it is supposed to be a parody of. The standard version with the Darth Vader Helmet on the other hand just looks odd.
dont like it too sexist.
Sexist??????? nah,
she reminds of Grace Jon’s in the bond film view to a kill I think.
