Mierce Miniatures have added a whole bunch of fantastic looking characters for their world of Darklands for you to enjoy. Kicking things off we're going to look at the Krokodar Slaughterers and their potential leader, Kinakk...

SLAUGHTERERS, KROKODAR UNIT

These Slaughters are an awesome looking unit. One of the things that Mierce Miniatures do very well indeed are their beasts and I think this is the perfect mix of beast AND mighty battlefield warrior.

Leading them is the aforementioned Kinakk.

KINAKK, KROKODAR WARRIOR

Looking like quite the mighty warrior I think he deserves to be at the head of the Krokodar force. I love the scale work across his body; they almost look all individual which is nice to see. Twin that with the scar across his snout and you have a characterful hero.

An Icy Sorceress

Following on from these bestial warriors we have Skaadi the Moraine Sorcerer. This is a being made of ice, an elemental being.

SKAADI, MORAINE SORCERER

Once again kudos to the folks at Mierce for creating a wonderful character. While she's a more stationary model, gazing out at those who would dare to challenge her might, you can almost feel the chill around the model.

Arcane Stones

Following in these elemental footsteps we have the work going into Ettu the Revered Goghu.

ETTU, REVERED GOGHU

I always think that golems like this could be on the 'boring' side but the addition of all of the arcane sigils across the model mean that you have plenty of ways to spice this up. I'd love to go in there with a bunch of different colours; red, green, blue purple etc.

I think adding a range of colours would add to his magical look.

Heroes Mount Up

Finishing things off we have a pair of model kits where you get both the rider and the man on-foot. We'll start with Dungal who comes with his valiant pony.

DÚNGAL, MORMAER OF DUN DURN ON FOOT AND ON PONY

I would normally say that I prefer the on-foot versions of these miniatures but in this case I actually think that the mounted version is a lot better. I like the feel of the model, leaning forward into the saddle to charge down his foe with that spear.

Equitus Durio is very similar in that respect as I like the way he is leaning forward into the saddle ready to strike.

EQUITUS DURIO, CENTURION ON FOOT AND ON HORSE

The on-foot version here looks a little stiff in my opinion compared to the more energetic and natural looking rider. Others may disagree but I think the mounted models here are much better.

What do you think of their haul this month?
