Using 1:35 scale models you will be delving into a world of Dieselpunk violence with the backdrop of Paris as your battlefield. During 1938 another conflict brews...
"There are no longer men who walks the battlefields, but robots and hybrids. But, the most brutal battle of this war take place in the bloody streets of Paris.
The Railroad World Company has taken control of every corner of the country, and Paris has become the very nerve center of the company. Strong leaders are fighting for Paris as it is a highly important strategic point in the war. The conflict escalates to a point of no return. A horrific toxic gas now unfortunately covers the whole of France.
To be able to survive, cities have developed sophisticated "domes" to save themselves from the gas, and Paris is no exception! As a result of these “domes”, the city of Paris has been separated into different independent districts."
This campaign is aiming to bring this 5omm skirmish game back to the tabletop with a number of different Starter Sets for the various factions within this world.
Each set comes with a handful of miniatures as well as their character cards and a small rulebook. As a game it plays with two people but they are going to be working on making it playable with more friends.
As well as the three Starter Sets you see here for the game they are also working on the Pacific Empire seen below...
...and they have plans to add more and things progress. This means additional units and characters for the different factions and more. You can find out more about their plans and see some of their concept art for future models on the links above.

Good to see it back. This is more my kind of Weird War 2. I’m not likely to play a game in that scale, though.
Oh, come now… why wouldn’t you ? You don’t have to paint an army, only three or four figures, and that scale is just like to paint a warjack, a TAG or a dreadnought. Actually, they’ve shown pictures on the project page and the miniatures are merely a head taller than a Stormcast Eternal or a Terminator from GW. It only seems daunting because the miniatures are gorgeous ! 🙂
I fully agree with you there. It’s an often used point, that the scale is not really compatible with the “standard” one(s). Though I assume it is about the terrain.
I don’t know anything about the game, but believe building some crumbled brick walls and hedges just for this and later maybe a house or three ought not be that much of a hindrance.
In brief, toxic gas covers France and people live in cities contained under domes. Paris seems to be the main setting, which is the scene of factional strife for control of the city. Even if they made for a satisfactory representation of Paris, my brick walls, hedges, and houses would be dwarfed by these minis. I don’t like building terrain, I’m not going to buy any in a larger scale just for this, and I’m not much of a painter so being bigger and having more gorgeous detail to paint isn’t a selling point over smaller minis. The models are gorgeous, but I think the thing that would put many people off would be the need to have new terrain in a new scale. The scale of Mauser Earth is very similar to Inquisitor. That never really caught on and those of us still playing it, have adapted it to 28mm.
Btw @brennon kudos for using the term “dieselpunk”. One of my gaming pet peeves is how many people label all retro futurism as “steampunk” grr! 😉
Diesel VS steam punk is a critical thing, indeed. I mean, it’s in the name. That does have a meaning. It’s a misconception similar to just bolting cogs and tubes on to stuff in order to label them as steam punk…
Yeah, I’m not a fan of steampunk. Not because I don’t like the idea of it, but because it’s usually done so badly. To me, steam punk should be about exploring the idea of what would have happened if steam power had continued to be the cutting edge technology. What it’s not about is sticking goggles on a top hat 😀 Dieselpunk is much more to my taste. As a genre it tends to get dominated by weird world war stuff, but I prefer my dieselpunk more along the lines of a 1920s to 30s Art Deco sci fi. These… Read more »
I prefer to separate out steam and dieselpunk under the term ‘futuristic-retro’, that being the insertion of modern technologies into a period in the past. It certainly comes under the umbrella of retro-futurism, but doing this allows me to use the latter term in its stricter sense of depictions of the future from a period in the past. At 1:35 it’s quite easy to find some WWII model kit. A crashed plane, some rocks and few trees could be a quick way to build a table of the right scale.
Tempted by this… I love a bit of 1/35th scifi. Definite Inquisitor conversion material here!
Ok I’m seriously tempted by this. Can anyone with previous experience of the game tell me if you need much scenery please? And if so, would stuff scaled to 28mm be suitable? Thanks.
