Check Out MOMMiniature’s Dwarven Airship & Snarling Orc Cavalry
July 4, 2016 by brennon
The previews keep coming from MOMMiniatures as they show off not only a new Dwarven Airship in the works for their mountain dwellers but also some Orc Cavalry mounted up on Boars and ready for a scrap...
Now that is insane...but in a good way. Just look at that! I could see this laden with cannons ready to start blasting away at their enemies below on the ground. The design is great, mixing in that Nordic boat look with something a bit more Fantastical and Steampunky.
Sticking firmly to the ground we also have the Orcs mentioned above...
This shows off the command element of the regiment which I'm sure is coming round the corner soon too. While their use might be for the likes of Warhammer the style of the shields would mean they fit in well with the existing Kings of War army from Mantic Games.
I think the detail, from what we can see, looks great and the facial features are etched with anger and fury as is befitting of an Orc.
What do you think of their work?

looks good, but is it me or is the air balloon a bit on the wee side?
I agree it is way small to work, and ya it is a fantasy miniature and I’m sure casting is the reason they downsized it. I wish they did the carriage separately so folks could do a foam balloon or something on their own that was more in actual scale.
think this would look great in your collection ben. you could really let your imagination run wild customizing ship and crew. you would have a lot of time to get lost in the back story while you worked on it.
Not really dazzled by the orcs or the balloon. Odd. I’ve really gone to these guys for elves and dwarves in the last few years.
what was the quality? hope it has improved with time, when i ordered six months past, I was so put off because the casting quality is the worst I have seen in resin. gaps and bubbles impossible to fix.
Those orcs look like they would be great to mix into KoW gore rider regiments.
They’re probably a bit larger than Mantics orcs but some size variation should only help making the unit look a bit more wild and unorganized.
