Gnarly Pilgrims Shamble Into ThunderChild’s Wasteman
June 2, 2016 by brennon
ThunderChild are adding to their world of Wasteman, a Post-Apocalyptic landscape filled with quirky individuals, with the release of the Gnarly Pilgrims.
They are a very strange bunch for sure and it's fun to see how out there they can be with this game. All of these chaps have some mutation or other poking out of their robes. I mean check out this guy, he has a head in his stomach...
As well as that however they do have some additional models which could help bolster this faction if they seem like the group for you.
Brother Beholder
First up we have this chap here who is the all seeing eye of the Pilgrims.
I think he looks rather insane and interestingly I met he is now simply just a big eye stalk that peers from that hood trying to spy out his next quarry.
Pyromancer
Additionally this fellow here has fully embraced the nature of fire. He has flaming hands, a flaming beard and a fireball in his hands for throwing at fools.
If anyone has played Gamma World, an offshoot of Dungeons & Dragons, this would make a great character (as would all of them) to fight against in the depths of a Post-Apocalyptic temple.
What do you think?

they look good painted.
I like the off colours in the first photo. A whole freakin’ lot.
Don’t see much gnarlyness though. Not to my understanding anyway. Rather squishyness and oddity.
Also, my kind of post-apocalyptic zealot is in the ways of good old Klovis of House Cawdor…
Thunderchild I find very support worthy but sadly the miniatures are not really my cup of tea. And they give me the creeps – in an old papier mâché B-movie smell way. *brrr*
Those look weird in good way.
Like em! Double-like em for the word “gnarly” which I always read in Otto-from-the-Simpsons voice.
