Mighty Ganesh Goes To War From Aradia Miniatures
May 7, 2016 by brennon
Aradia Miniatures have put together a rather fantastic looking version of Ganesh who is ready for war with huge glaives at the ready. See what you think...
The miniature you see here was sculpted by Allan Carrasco and based on the original concept by Stefano Moroni. Standing at around 80mm tall he is quite the dangerous looking foe and I wouldn't want to face him in battle.
I really like that despite his bulk they've managed to get a bit of elegance into the model. It's a great looking piece of resin and the painting here is top notch. You really get to see what you can do when you have a lot of skin to play around with and paint.
What do you think of their Ganesh?

That’s really cool, the details are excellent. He looks, though, somewhat less calm and serene than the various statues of him that adorn my living area…
Very nice.
nice, the destroyer of worlds himself.
oops that’s Vishnu which looks more like the statue that attacks Lara croft in tombraider.
I’d do one black with plain, pupil less white eyes. Very interesting sculpt that could be used for a variety of games, Dragon Rampant and Frostgrave springing to mind, but with the spears and dynamism of the pose he would be a nightmare to transport in a carry case.
One could use him in a Skorne army for Hordes too. Wouldn’t look out of place.
A sword and club and pavise sheild combo would look cool.
What a beaut!
