Footsore Show Off Their Version Of The Ferocious Brodir
May 2, 2016 by brennon
Footsore Miniatures have now added their version of Brodir to their webstore for you to add to your Danish collection. He was a dangerous man when pitted against the Irish!
He was said to wear chainmail that 'no steel could bite' and was the one who bought low Brian Boru, the High King of the Irish. Despite this victory he did then end up having his guts wound around a tree until he died.
I do like their version of the model with the big thick fur cloak always a welcome addition to any model. The heroic pose with his axe held high is good too, awaiting a challenge worthy of his blade.
Will you be picking him up?

That looks really nice.
Bill Thrinhill is a great sculptor and puts a lot of animation into his figures. I really like his Dark Age range especially the Irish.
Outstanding.
looking good.
Very nice!
Brodir was escaping from the Battle of Clontarf, when by accident he came across Brian Boru’s camp. Boru was too old to fight and was behind his army’s battle line. The “legend” is that Brodir struck down Boru as he was praying.
