It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane…No Definitely A Bird For GCT’s Bushido
April 24, 2016 by brennon
GCT Studios are kicking off Wave Twenty-Nine of Bushido (yes, they have released THAT many miniatures) with a mighty Giant Eagle for the Tengu Descension...
"The Koroko tell stories to the young hatchlings about the circle of life and of how all is connected, sharing the eternal truth that nothing truly dies but is born again as something else.
They say that the great giant eagles that patrol the Ro-Kan, these feathered sentinels ever watchful for the slightest threat, are the reincarnation of great Tengu warriors now watching over the mountain in a different form.
Their talons sharp as the strongest steel, appearing from nowhere and disappearing just as fast. No enemy can tell from where these feathered angels will strike next. "
A rather fantastic model that is in the midst of snapping up some hapless creature with its talons. I think this makes for a good battlefield pose. You can see his Rules Card here below too.
Have you been playing as the Tengu Descension in Bushido? They seem to have one of the most interesting ranges of characters packed with very colourful creatures.
What do you make of this mighty bird?

I’ve just started Bushido with Prefecture of Ryo but Tengu is definitely something I’ll be looking at for a second faction.
Prefecture man myself, my better half loves the Tengu.
That is one great looking bird.
I loved the model, until it was pointed out to me thwt he appears to be dropping his guts. I still like the model but now thats all I can see
I have followed the Bushido game and releases for a while now, but not taken the plunge yet 🙂 But this model would be a great mount for a hero in many other game systems.
