The Walking Dead The Eldar Wraithlord!
May 11, 2012 by crew
John calls this his favourite Eldar model. And with good reason. This kit is a finely detailed elegant model with few mould lines and a very striking appearance. The model is also easily re-posed without too much skill required and has plenty of options to play with.

The Wraith lord is an amazing kit. I have no real interest in doing an Eldar army, but i do have plans for a diorama using one fighting a Carnifex 🙂
Doh!! I meant Wraithlord
wow what’s with the quality guy’s ?
wo my bad my computer whas going crazy 😛
indeed an nice kit, my friend got one posed cutting the head of of a crisis suit
I really like the Eldar kits and mythos, but anytime I’ve ever started an army, my painting skills have let me down. Need more practice 🙂
This kit looks pretty good, i like multi-part kits like this
I’m not a fan of the scenic bases. I think they make the models look too much alike, now that’s fine for infantry, but wraithlord/dreadnought sized models are were you get the chance to add a bit of character, plus the dud eldar rocket on the wraithlord base just makes it look like they have crap missiles…
Is that what that is!?! I thought it was like a dead Tyranid or something. Why on earth would they make it a dud missile? GW = Fail
I don’t think it’s a dud rocket on the base, i have pondered that but it’s about an inch long (shattered) comparable to the EML size. It’s most likely some sort of spire IMO
I started an Iyanden army earlier this year when I got two pre-built Wraithlords for ridiculously cheap. I’ve always wondered what came in the actual Wraithlord kit. I really want to field three Wraithlords, and seeing this definitely makes the price-point more bearable.
Thanks John.
Are these fella’s replacing the eldar dreadnoughts?
or are they the same thing?
Hello
S#d you then
The wraithlord kit is GREAT!Lots of options and good quality. The only downside is that the legs are in one piece and there are no options to position them in other poses.I think GW was little lazy when they planned the wraithlord legs, but not with the new imperial guard sentinel walker legs. Those legs are much better design.
Thank you Jhon for the great review!
Should do a painting video about this 🙂
I just want more painting videos 🙂
Most certainly one of those kits I’ve often considered buying to do some conversion work to.
Some of the conversions which have cropped up online are utterly fantastic and usually not that complicated to pull off.
The painting is usually another matter though, there are some rediculously complicated and stunningly painted Wraithlords out there.
great vid and love the wraithlord xD but at the end of these videos where you show the sprews you should show some examples of them fully built. for example you said that they have great poses show us some you’ve done :).
The Wraithlord is still one of the coolest looking Walkers in 40k.
I miss John, I like to see more stuff with him.
I’m liking the reruns. I’d be interested to see the Dark eldar week stuff I missed the first time around.
