A Starter Set & New Wyldfolk Coming To Megalith’s Godslayer
April 12, 2016 by brennon
Megalith Games have been showing off some work-in-progress sketches of what's coming up next from them when it comes to Godslayer. The first bit of news is that we'll be seeing a Starter Set featuring this lovely piece of artwork...
The set will contain the forces of the Halodynes and the Banebrood with full warbands plus a Rulebook to allow you to get stuck in. This is a good shout in terms of warbands with the shining armour of the Halodynes clashing against the bestial nature of the Banebrood.
A Wyldfolk Wave Cometh
Talking of factions; the Wyldfolk of Annyr are getting another wave of models in the near future. See what you think of these sketches showing off their Woad Warriors.
They have sketched up a variety of different warriors who are dressed in rather Celtic garb. I really like the style of the shields and the amount of adornment they have around their necks, arms and in the case of this chap - his head.
The chance to paint up wild and snarling Woad Warriors is a neat one and it would be good to see how easy the painting of the tattoos is going to be.
One of the ways that I've seen to get around it is to give them a bit of a blue tint to their skin in different parts of the model - as if the woad is more of a magical thing rather than something physically applied. It certainly looks rather mystifying.
What do you think?

Oooh ! We all need more kilted men… were it only in our games.
Are the boxed sets still going to be ridiculously expensive? As this turned many of my gaming friends away from this potentially great system.
I know what you mean. The miniatures are great the prices less so.
