Undercover Agents & Operatives Head To Salute From Spectre
April 11, 2016 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures have revealed some additional undercover operatives and secrets agents that will be joining the rest of the modern military range at Salute this year. First off we have the Tier-1 Special Operations Forces who are in discrete kit allowing them to blend in until the fighting starts...
According to their information these would work as soldiers from Delta, Team-6/DEVGRU, SAS, SBS, and SRR. I won't pretend to know what half of those mean so someone can fill me in below.
As well as the awesome looking models I also learned that there is such a thing as subsonic ammo. The Sig Sauer MCX fires rounds that are quiet so that you can take targets out without so much as a whisper finding its way into the ears of the enemy.
Undercover Agents
As well as these heavily armed individuals we also have these troopers who could take on the form of SOF, CIA Special Activities Division, Contractors or DHS Special Operators.
I like these four with their civilian clothes on. I think they lends themselves towards interesting scenarios where you're fighting through regular streets rather than a warzone. I seriously need to pick some of these models up at Salute so that I can start playing Black Ops.
Which of these teams would you join?

nice.
Cool might have to take a look at them
Those are rather nice.
In what universe is that kit “discrete” ? lol …
I’m assuming ‘Delta’ = Delta Force, American Rangers spec ops if I remember correctly.
A quick Google later:
DEVGRU = what became known to the world as ‘seal team 6’ : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SEAL_Team_Six
SAS = Special Air Service, British special forces.
SBS = Special Boat Service (I suspect they’re British Navy, but the Dutch have a similar team)
SRR = Special Recon Regiment ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Reconnaissance_Regiment )
Army Rangers are a separate force from Delta, though some Rangers might transfer into Delta. As for the discrete , most of the kit would be hidden in back packs or other bags with the weapons broken down as the team moves into position, once the team is in place, the combat gear comes out and the unit moves on the objective. The plain clothes help from drawing attention that would normally happen if you saw a bunch of guys in camouflage uniforms walking around in an urban street.
Not just Black Ops @brennon – Specture have their own set of rules too. I haven’t played either game, but if they put half as much effort into the rules as the miniatures it’s probably worth checking out.
Already in my shopping basket 😎
Sub-sonic ammunition is nothing new. SBS are from the Royal Marines.
I would choose group 1, but can I take my own choice of weapon?
p.s., Spectre miniatures are stunning – all of them!
