1877-1885 British Soldiers Sally Forth Soon From The Perry Twins
April 1, 2016 by brennon
Perry Miniatures have shown off a final look at how their new plastic British Infantry Set from 1877-1885 is looking ahead of a release at Salute 2016. You can check out how the command sprue and regular infantry come together nicely below...
This set will give you thirty-six miniatures to create soldiers who fought in Afghanistan and Sudan. Additionally a few extra metal components might also be on the way to help create soldiers who fought in other wars during the period.
For now though let's check out the finished models.
As you can see in true Perry fashion a lot of the components switch around into different configurations allowing you to make a nice range of different soldiers in a variety of poses. Always good when you're dealing with massed infantry.
You can also take a look at the regular sprue itself and some of the options it offers.
Last but not least there is a special miniature if you buy three boxes of these soldiers. 2nd Lt. Walter Olivey is there choice, sporting the Queen's Colours which he unfortunately died to protect Maiwand.
Will you be picking up this kit and planning out a recreation of Maiwand where you might be able to save his life and continue the fighting?
Drop your thoughts below...

This is quality.
I’m sold. Three boxes ASAP please!!
Would these guys also represent the forces fighting the Martian Invasion from War of the Worlds? I think in the book it takes place in the 1890’s.
Hopefully there’ll be some devils in skirts along to model the 3rd Foot and Mouth in their fight against the Khasi.
The Third Foot and Mouth – ‘Always ready for action’

I’m also really looking forward to seeing what new 3ups the Twins will bring to Salute this year..
