Fingers crossed for ‘Infinity’ to win something. Hawk Wargames too.
Ya, I’m pulling for Infinity and Dungeon Saga!
I’m pulling for Blood Rage. Hawk deserves a good set of award as well
Hawk are fantastic. Not one of their minis that I don’t like!
agreed!
Next year should be interesting for them 🙂
Blood rage all the way
GogoKingdomDeath!!!
got to go for Arkham Asylum
Amazing kit!
For best gaming minis Icarus miniatures nexus grunt.
Poor John I feel his pain ! I hate suits too!
Lol we had to tranquillise him just to get it on him lol
The Arkham is nice, but that Gate made entirely brick by brick is so impressive.
Looking very very sexy lads. Though so many well dressed blokes wandering round Coleraine will have people thinking theres either a Culchie wedding in the town or else theres a special Saturday sitting down at the courthouse!
…option 2!
A waiters convention in the making lol
It will be interesting to see if this is as much a result of the best of each category or the most popular. Looking forward to seeing peoples votes.
I think everything is a popularity contest in the end
Even if we had an expert panel it would still be which is most popular among them. (But obviously that’s different from I vote for that because I’ve heard of it and with a people’s choice there’s no getting away from an element of that 🙂
There are some really excellent terrain pieces in that list, the 4Ground stuff really is excellent and that GW Chaosgate is a fantastic kit too.
But this is an award for ‘the best’ and I think Tabletop Games simply make the very best cost no object scenery available today, and the towngate is no exception.
Best modelkit is an easy category to judge. Two kits stand out, the Warlord Titan and Archaon.
And of those two Archaon is the best, it is a showcase in what can be done with plastic models, and is such a joy to build.
The Phoenix by all accounts is an excellent kit, but since it is nigh impossible to purchase, disqualifies itself.
John’s intro looks like he saw that earlier Kwak conversation and thought he was the next test subject..lol.
I voted for the warlord titan for best model kit. I just think that it pushes the boundaries of what we think is possible, the pheonix and archaon are both technically supreme plastic kits, but the warlord is a truly impressive use of resin.
Plus its a 3 foot tall walking gun platform, of course its the best!
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and good luck to all the finalists.
I’m rooting for Dungeon Saga, I do love a good dungeon crawl
Just got home. My gaming club moved today. Was a real heartbleed, because we had to leave some stuff behind. But the new location seems good, even if smaller.
Now catching up on the live block. I got my tea (earl grey), got my biscuits. Here we go …
Great way to spend a Saturday. The wife has now gotten used to me running back to the computer every hour now.
Been out at an AGoT tournament all day. Now to catch up.
I think time differences are unfair I need to sleep and stuff but, I really want to stay 🙁
I’m looking at BloodRage for the win. Great minis fun fast paced gaming
Go Frostgrave! A finalist in 4 categories and deservedly so. Fingers crossed for Joe and the guys.
Angel Giraldez, I honestly was not surprised to see his work within the top four, but I don’t think that this model was actually a blow away piece, I suspect he will even win. That I think though would be a shame as I think his work is carried better by his name when looked alongside the others.
Frostgrave is a great game and has much room to grow, it would be a surprising all out winner though.
Board and card games I have no interest in.
Now to see how hung over they are in the morning.
Am not sure which I enjoyed more, the run through all the categories, or watching @warzan succumb more and more to the cheap plonk – this doesn’t bode well for the stag night! 🙂
Just got back from the Dropfleet Beta test day now to relax with a pint or two and watch the Awards show. Great Hobby day truly Great.
