Warhammer World Share Some Ace Blood Bowl Teams
March 4, 2016 by brennon
As you might already know, Games Workshop and Warhammer World are going to be running a Blood Bowl tournament this year. Yes, I'm not kidding you!
The tickets are going to become available from March 7th and to get people in the mood the Warhammer World team have put together some teams based on existing plastic kits to get your minds working for your own roster.
These are some impressive teams that have been made using all of the things that Games Workshop have on hand. I think that the new Dwarf and Orc kits are really lending themselves to Blood Bowl and those Longbeards are certainly a team I'd be behind.
As you can see the Warhammer World team haven't just been working with Fantasy kits but also dropping some in from Warhammer 40,000 as well when they find something a bit more dynamic. I think the Harlequins for example are great for Elves.
Have you had any ideas for your Blood Bowl team?

This looks great!! A real good move from GW!
Sometimes I get wrapped up in all the new releases, that I forget the sheer amount of models and ranges that GW have released over the years. What better way to calibrate that then getting people to convert a new wave of Bloodbowl teams!!
I don’t know about you but I’m of to the garage to find me some old plastic!
Time for some FOOTBALL!!!
Great to see some support from GW for the classics. This makes me even more excited for the return of Blood Bowl as part of the Specialist Games Design Studio.
When the setup of the studio was announced, we were told “nothing before 2017”. If this event is a big success, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the appearance of a boxed game on or around the Christmas period.
Really nice job and great to see some outside of the box thinking in model choices.
I’m getting excited about the new version next year and just hope they bring the rules up to speed. I like the game a lot but of all the war games/boxed games I play I do feel blood bowl is more dependant on luck to a degree. A good player will minimise those risks but for all the strategy you plan, with a d6 it still leaves you to the fate of nuffle a little too much. A few tweaks should make a great difference. These teams look pretty cool too!
Those do look really nice.
I agree they honestly do.
The Ork team looks just like the one I built from bits! The Harlequin team is awesome.
awesome work ! Now if GW could release new teams of this quality…
I love seeing conversions. Hope it becomes more and more common with GW once again.
Really good move by GW. About five years late. But. Bravo. I’m sure their price points will have people scratching their heads going … hmmm … one GW team … or six third party teams … hmm. Choices … choices. I think it really will come down to what they are giving in terms of value, what their range is going to present. For me the biggest selling point of GW back in the day was the community around it, the great publication that White Dwarf used to be, etc. etc. and all that is completely gone. It would take… Read more »
That’s some truly fantastic conversion work!
Its stuff like this I miss form GW, conversions of something that are clever that you wouldnt think of. Good to see specialist games making a comeback. I love the Harlequin team.
2016 – Bloodbowl tournament.
2017 – Release Bloodbowl game.
Yea, makes sense… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
