Victrix have now added two more plastic sets to their collection for Ancient wargaming. The two sets consist of the Balearic Slingers and the Iberian Unarmoured Infantry so you can begin to bulk up your armies...

Balearic Slingers

This is a set which is available only from Victrix direct and gives you twelve models to make a small skirmishing unit of slingers who would screen the advancement of a larger force.

Baleric Slingers

Slings have been used throughout the ancient times as a cheap way to provide ranged firepower - anyone could learn to sling a stone. They might seem pointless but an adept slinger could throw a stone with such force that it could puncture the armour of a Roman soldier. If they weren't wearing armour they were in for a bad time indeed.

Iberian Infantry

As well as the slingers we also have Iberian Infantry, or Ancient Spanish soldiers, with which to build the bulk of your army. Swords, daggers, javelins and pilums are all available to arm your infantry with allowing you a variety of different options for taking on your enemies.

Iberian Infantry

Iberian Infantry (Alt)

Inside the set you get forty miniatures which works out as thirty six regular infantry and four models which can be used to make a command element. You can embellish your soldiers with all manner of additional bits in the set to make sure they stand out and show their colours.

Will you be picking some of these up?
