Zenit Miniatures Comes To The Rescue For Last Saga
February 11, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Zenit Miniatures has answered that call for a Kickstarter project that was on the verge of collapse. Last Saga was a Kickstarter project that was created by Rocket Games and was going through the process of fulfilling their pledges when it sounds like they had an issue with their miniatures manufacturer that left them with little options.
Thankfully, instead of folding and the backers losing their money, Zenit Miniatures the creatures of Kensei came to the rescue and has agreed to complete the fulfillment of the pledges and then take the game commercial.
I think this is one time where we see the little guy getting some help from others in the industry for the betterment of the players. Here is the announcemnt from their Kickstarter page:
We have reached a common agreement with Zenit Miniatures for Last Saga and its Kickstarter: in this new situation, Zenit Miniatures will get all the commercial rights of Last Saga in the future, after fulfilling the Kickstarter. Rocket Games will disappear, becoming a new formation to continue supporting the game in all its aspects: design, system, etc.
That means that Zenit Miniatures will take care of the fulfillment of the Last Saga Kickstarter. After that, Zenit will commercialize Last Saga, with us working with them to ensure new models, support the system, etc.
Hurrah for Zenit Miniatures and tabletop gamers everywhere!
Was this a good decision?

maybe its me just being altruistic, but this is a very good idea, smaller companies banding together to provide and produce various ranges.
Rocket Games does seem to have run into every possible bit of bad luck during the Kickstarter (as well as some management issues, there’s always plenty of blame to pass around) and for a while it was starting to look very bad for the backers. That they’ve managed to work out a deal with Zenith that both allows the game/universe to continue developing and getting the people who put their support the concept their goodies is great news. Have a few bucks in there myself as I’ve been on the lookout for a new, small scifi game and both the… Read more »
That will be good news for all concerned- though I wasn’t a Backer, I followed the project and was sorry to see Rocket Games hit such unfortunate times…
Might even be able to pick some models up myself in the future!
Glad to see the guys getting some much-needed good luck at last. I’ve been fortunate enough to get part of my rewards for backing this and the minis are just wonderful. Even if they don;t see play in Last Saga itself, they would make great additions to my ever-expanding Pan-O (or any number of other SF wargames…)
