The Long Awaited Twisted Is Coming To Kickstarter February 16th!
February 4, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
The official countdown to launch is on for the much anticipated, steampunk world of Twisted from Demented Games! They've announced that we'll see the game hit Kickstarter on February 16th and there's plenty of good stuff in store for us all...
On top of the really beautiful minis we've seen up to this point, the Kickstarter will have loads of goodies not yet seen, and the fellas have been good enough to give Beasts of War a few sneak peaks!
If you take a good look at the Kickstarter announcement, you'll notice a couple of gems right there - including a lovely steampunk building, No. 42 Carver Lane, and the new face, The Gentlefolk Flowerseller.
I love the quirky look of the steampunk building. It's wonderful to see that Demented Games has given such thought into creating a tangible world for Twisted, and to know that gamers will have a way to set the scene for their games as the characters search for or protect the Machine. The Gentlefolk Flowerseller looks fantastic as well, offering a lovely handful of flowers to draw her prey in closer.
We've also gotten a peek at new concept art for the Gentlefolk Lancer! I cannot wait to see this guy as a miniature. As a Servant of Engine, loaded with mechanical flair, in a stunning horse form, he's sure to be an impressive mini.
The Dickensians cannot be outdone, so we've gotten to see a new mini for them too. The Urkin Shaman has a real talent with voodoo, shrunken heads and all. His creative use of magic will undoubtedly be useful in their quest for the Machine.
The rich background to the world of Twisted will captivate gamers and help create a wonderful understanding of the factions and their motivations. The playful connection to historical and fictional characters, such as Ollyver, represented in the world will only add to the charm.
Are you counting the days to the Twisted Launch?

This is definitely a KS I’ll be throwing quite a bit of funds towards. The minis so far have been awesome and the concept art just sucks me in.
I really hope the terrain becomes available.
Nooooo! Stop all this temptation!!
I feel some voluntary overtime coming on…
Well this has made my day, never heard of it before instantly love it. I’ll be dropping some Queen Elizabeth’s on this.
I became interested in Twisted at Adepticon some 2 years ago, but the “release” of only a handful of figures and no real game since then has cooled my enthusiasm. I’ll still check out the KS for the buildings, though. They’d be good for Malifaux, but not if their pricing is comparable to those of the figures released. The minis are nice but only for collectors and painters at this point. I guess this (long awaited) KS will let us see if this is no longer the case.
As far as I know (I think it was discussed in the last ‘Twisted’ news post we had) they’re releasing their minis as a collectors range which will be the resin we’ve seen so far, and a metal range which will be cheaper and aimed at people that are more interested in playing the game.
Hi All,
Peter here – one of the partners in Twisted! The terrain will be part of the kickstarter – it is something we felt important to making the game a success!
Blaeyn – it so understand what you are saying! It has been a long road since we started out but we are finally ready to go and we hope to win back your enthusiasm when we preview the rules during the Kickstarter! You should also find the prices of the metal models more to your liking – they are quite a bit cheaper than the resin versions. 🙂
I know this will be my favourite game ever and that I will buy everything on offer.I’m officially in love with Twisted and want to marry it
Looking forward to this.
Now I’m glad I didn’t back The Walking Dead.
I have watched the development of these models with interest; they look amazing and I am sure will be very interesting to paint. Looking forward to seeing how the rules/ terrain and price pan out. I agree that the terrain looks as though it will cross over to Malifaux which would be an added bonus!
