Unboxing Bolt Action M8/M20 Scout (Greyhound)
January 26, 2016 by dignity
We're taking a look at the Bolt Action M8/M20 "Greyhound" Scout Car from Warlord Games today. This handy little vehicle was very useful on the battlefields of World War II and for your tabletop games.
We'll be discussing its uses and showing off the kit in full so let us know if you make use of this model in your games.
What do you think of the Greyhound?
Great video, I have always liked the M-8/M-20. Now that they have one in Plastic I will upgrade my old easy eight kit 🙂
only 45k, cor you couldn’t even pick up car parking space for that in London, there was a broom closet for sale for 90k
While the 37mm cannon on the M3 didn’t have an especially powerful HE round, it DID fire a canister round firing 122 steel ball projectiles, which is nothing for infantry in the open to laugh at. 😀
a great looking M8 scout the M20 looks good as well. dolt action has a nice vid with a convoy of M8,s in it.
I’ve built the kit and it was fiddly in places. Also a few very awkward mould lines, but is a lovely model when built.
I wonder if it can be built to enable the turret to be swapped to allow either an m8 or m20 to be fielded from the same box?
Anyone try this?
@sniperbait – Yes, the kit allows you to magnetise the two options – I’ve heard several community members mention this possibility.
I haven’t seen photos yet – but if I spot some, showing the magnetisation points, I’ll share here

Nice looking kit . Good to see you get pieces to fill in the backs of the wheels . Lesson learned from taking flak on the Puma ?

You can indeed switch between versions. In the Historical forum there are some pics of mine as part of my Winter Americans that I’ve made switchable.
