Andy and Jake are in the studio for a chat about the second edition of Urban War from Urban Mammoth. From what the guy's have said it's looking as if we're going to see a cleaner more streamlined version of the game.
Tell us what to you think of the update to Urban War?

I actually remember Urban War back when it was called Voidl, and done by a company called i-Kore, and i remember seeing the stuff about it and getting excited, but knowing its a European game (im american) it wouldnt be easy to come by (things werent back then). But i think this is the first ive seen of it since then and no doubt american distributors will start carrying it soon. I always found the game pretty neat.
Loved Urban War , interested in this
Will there be figures ?
There are loads of figures out: just look at the photos above. They’re all available now, together with loads more 🙂
Oh man, what a blast from the past. I’m glad to see this game is still going strong after all the years. The last I saw of this game was several years ago when I was looking for a smaller side game since my 40k playing died down to unfulfilling levels.
I ended up going with warmachine over urban war because of the regular expansions and growth, but now that 40k is gone, warmachine is my main game, and I know they are giving urban war more love …it might just be time to give it a try.
If anyone need models for this game I have loads, still in boxes. Let me know via PM please!
I remember Void…hadnt really kept up to date with all the changes going on. Nice update
Whats this Urban Mammoth is alive and kicking? Its a long time since I played Keltos and Void. I loved the big dino models they had. Hope they keep them in and add to that line.
You can still buy the original VOID minis from Scotia Grendel. Ive bought some quad bikes off them in the past, no problems.
I have a couple of these from the void release … Koralon tactical araktons and syntha tacticals … the latter look a ton better than the current syntha. Take a look; http://www.fightingtigersofveda.com/31301.jpg
compared to http://www.voidlegion.de/urbanwar/Syntha/34301.jpg
The Koralon have some nice models, glad most of them don’t have legs and have snake bodies too. The Hydra inparticular is very much my kinda thing.
@abstractalien the Koralon would be very much your faction in this. I don’t think any of them are humanoid. Even the ones with legs tend to have more than 2 and be more insect-like than human.
Liked it so much, just went and bought it – sweet! Thanks, BoW!
A lot of the old Void miniatures were really nice, shame they’re not available anymore. But then the overall range quality did increase with the move to Urban War.
especially wish the original VASA Bird of Prey walkers were still around, they were lovely.
You can still get Void figures. Have a look at Scotia Grendel’s site:
