The Dark Siren Dwells Beneath The Sea At Kabuki Models
January 5, 2016 by brennon
Kabuki Models have announced their next big 75mm model for the new year, the Dark Siren. This creature from the depths is shown holding aloft a little baby Cthulhu who will no doubt go on to destroy the world with his madness inducing followers.
While the model has something of the comical about it with the little baby Cthulhu spreading his arms wide at his 'mother' I think with the right kind of paint scheme you could turn this into a dark and dangerous looking piece that would be rather haunting on the mantlepiece.
Although I put that forward as an idea I do kind of like the idea of seeing this as a big gaudy and comical piece with bright block colours. See it as an alternative Little Mermaid story!
What do you think of the Dark Siren?

Incredible stuff and no doubt about that at all again one to paint only this time it,s going in the fish tank.
That’s a fascinating model.
Stunning model.
I think this would be a brilliant figure for romain for a painting vid?
I quite like this one. Normally I can take or leave Kabuki – I don’t have anything against their penchant for pin-ups but I don’t generally have much use for them nor do I particularly want them as ornaments around my house. This one however just has something about it.
I hope they make it so the Baby Cthulhu can be replaced with other items. Better yet, include a couple bonus alternate items.
This is pretty cool.
