Dark Sword Previews The DiTerlizzi Book Wyrm
January 1, 2016 by brennon
Dark Sword Miniatures make some wonderful models and this one is no different. See what you think of the Book Wyrm which is going to be part of the DiTerlizzi Collection which has steadily been growing following a successful Kickstarter earlier in the year.
This is a lovely piece which is packed with character. I think the idea of a Dragon that isn't consumed by a lust for treasure, fire and death is great. Instead he has a thirst for knowledge and holes himself up in libraries reading through the histories of the world.
Adventurers could go to him in search of information and knowledge for their quests rather than just to put an end to him. The design of the Dragon itself is very old school - I could imagine him popping up in a Fighting Fantasy book for example - but I think that adds to the charm.
What do you think?

Looks promising.
Excellent. I would consider painting two of these and making a set of custom bookends. And then a 3rd for gaming purposes, of course.
I am in love with that dragon ! 😀
So am I. A great project indeed.
I think this is executed very well. I like that it does come off as a very learned beast.
Oh wow. That’s a great idea and superb execution!
Very nice and inspirational.. will have to pick one up when possible
Might have to buy one an paint up for the kid
That is really cool!
