Onslaught Glide In With Upcoming 15mm Stygian Vehicles
December 25, 2015 by brennon
If you're looking to build up your dark and enthralled Stygian army in 15mm then Onslaught have previewed some of the upcoming vehicles that will be coming soon to their webstore. See what you think of their Vampire Gliders and Shadow Destroyer.
Here we have some neat looking cartoon-ish Stygians with glaives at the ready to do some drive-by style slaughtering on their Gliders. As you can see they are quite tiny but I think they've done well to work on highlighting the details of each sculpt.
I think at this 15mm scale you have to exaggerate certain components like the heads, armour and weapons to make them stand out.
The Shadow Destroyer alternatively has no hangers on here and instead just a rather large weapon strapped to the front of it. I could see this floating around the battlefield looking to pick off weaker vehicles with its lance-type weapon on the front.
What do you think of the Stygians?

Are you sure it’s 15mm? I thought Onslaught produced ‘not Epic’ scale, 6mm miniatures. The first graphic above says ‘actual size 11mm’ which to me looks like they’re ‘not Dark Eldar hellions’ in the normal, 6mm, Epic scale.
The tank, being 50mm long is probably also a 6mm scale vehicle.
Last I checked they had a little bit in 15MM but like you say, most of the range is 6MM (epic) scale. I am glad to see most of the old GW 40K verse slowly getting knocked off in 6mm. The game, the scale of it, etc. is vastly more suitable for play at a smaller scale. The idea that titans in 28MM are going to be on a 4×6 table with bane blades and gigantic two foot long flying things … is beyond silly. In the days of 4th edition the game was mostly about platoon to company level… Read more »
I think angelicdespot might be right, traditionally Onslaught have created 6mm range. Still fair play to Ben for posting on Xmas day (just blame too much egg not…)
He’s been releasing some of his lines into 15mm over the past year. Both the Stygians and the Sisterhood have seen some releases so far, so I wouldn’t be surprised if these were actually 15mm.
These will be in 6mm but onslaught has been trying out some stuff in 15mm
Interesting. I used to love Epic, and think that 6mm is a great scale for a 40K universe game, but 15mm would be good too. Large enough to have a bit more animation and variety in the infantry but still small enough to cram lots of stuff in and have great looking scenery.
I’ve been thinking I’d love to play a 15mm Horus Heresy game. That would look amazing.
Those are some nice starbound Drow right there, I really like them.
