Warlord Games Preview Konflikt ’47 Walkers Coming Soon
December 20, 2015 by brennon
Warlord Games have begun their previews for the Christmas period and one of these is for the Konflikt '47 Weird World War game which will be coming in 2016. While they have shown off some concept art as you can see below the Clockwork Goblin chaps have models for these already so we're showing those too...
Spinne Light Mech
First up we have the Spinne Light Mech for the Germans with its bulbous body hanging between its legs. While the artwork here is good you can also pick up the model from Clockwork in anticipation of their Weird rules...
...and here is the model below. Here you can see it with the top removed and a driver watching from the top.
An awesome looking piece and you can already see how this is going to fit in well with the existing Bolt Action range. I like that it retains a lot of the style of a German tank in the turret so that it doesn't clash.
Mudskipper
As well as the Germans we have the artwork for the US Walker. Here we have the Mudskipper which does exactly what it says on the tin - it has jump capabilities for rocketing around the battlefield.
As before we also have the model for this thanks to Clockwork Goblin with the canopy removed from the front so you can see the pilots.
The final product for Konflikt '47 will include a new rulebook which draws on the rules from Bolt Action and builds on it with Weird machines of war AND new weapons for your troopers too.
Are you looking forward to this?

Sounds like it might be something that I can use my Dust miniatures with
I’ll be waiting for that…
Colour me interested.
That spinne might be nice to convert to a bloodpact stalk tank…although there might be better models out there for that purpose…
@bastion i concur about the stalk tank conversion. What do you think would be a better option tho…
Looks cool, always liked the idea of a weird war game but never took the plunge…
Not a patch on the Dust walkers.
Those do look rather good. How ever what bothers me is how unprotected Mudskipper crew is.
especially the driver with gunner as his biggest protection from the front.
I would have to say that the overall design of the Dust machines are much better. But, these ARE nice, and given that this is pretty much a first go, they have much room to move forward and improve the aesthetics that really cry out the country of origin.
I think warlord just took the opportunity now that they seem intent on pricing dust out of bussiness
I like the finished pieces more than the artwork which is quite rare for me. I’m just getting into bolt action so a separate game that I can add to my new force interests me a lot.
Looks interesting, especially if it can be used in conjunction with the existing late war bolt action stuff and with the bad press dust got with their last kickstarter debacle.
Would like to see some wolfenstien inspired units.
the Spinne would make a good panzer II alternative for WW II iron skies or something?
Sounds good
That got me interested. I was so to say late for DUST and so this might get me caught in the weird war thing.
Not for me.
I hate weird world war two, or at least every type that comes out is always very similar, be it games or books.
Don’t really float my boat.
These are nice, Dust would want to get their game together
german walker kooks so fragile. I like dust models that they look like warmachines, where this looks so unpractical. US looks ok but so much armor and is open topped? why?
I really, really like the look of that German contraption, although spindly I can imagine it crossing some dunes decked out in Afrika Corps camo with netting along the top supporting an infantry maneuver where a Panzer 3 or 4 would get bogged down. It looks relatively lightweight and fragile but also nimble and capable which sits well with the open top and choice of armament, a HEAT round would make short work of it, as would sustained small arms fire no doubt but then I imagine this being used in a support/reconnaissance role with infantry in a theatre where… Read more »
I see the U.S walker has a canopy in the artwork, invalidates a lot of my criticism! 😀
That said I still think the placement of the crew is too ‘helicopter gunship’ for my liking, though.
Can’t wait to see more!
Stompy mechs? You now have my full attention.
Warlord does Wolfenstein. I love it!
