Painting Part 7 - Ready For Weathering

The next step is to get some dirt and grime onto the Panther! We love making things look realistic and what better than a heavy dose of weathering for these hefty tanks.

Some great stuff in these videos – I hope you do some more. Weathering techniques are always interesting.

An excellent finish!

Do a lot more of these videos John, maybe follow some of the unboxings. Do a few also with Justin alongside Learning and painting just to show that all skill levels can produce good quality work if you follow the steps.

This is something I’d love. Experts don’t realise just how much needs pointing out until a noob is unable to correctly follow their instructions.

Would never have thought to add snow flock. Great idea.

How about adding some regular static grass to the mix to look like bits of grass in the mud?

Really nice work on the Panther John, glad you kept a lot of the pre-shade very easy to lose that, i don’t think you needed the gloss varnish at the beginning mixed in the base coat, the X20A would have thinned the paint enough, just my view,
………. now i’m really looking forward to the BATUS Chieftain……. i hope the guy’s let you show some of that build on BOW.

snow – good idea. I added baking soda after your video, same effect. great tutorial, nice and easy just not cheap in budget.

A fascinating set of easily digested videos.
My only quibble is that a lot of people seem to be obsessed with mud at present. Not every battle was fought in the mud. I suppose that is why I like the Desert War.
