Warlord Scout Ahead With Bolt Action Armoured Cars
December 7, 2015 by brennon
Warlord Games have added another pre-order set to their website for Bolt Action. To help protect those new Winter Infantry for the US we also have an Armoured Car Squadron which contains both M8s and M20s which will provide you with some much needed covering fire...
The set contains three hard plastic vehicles allowing you to make them as M8 or M20 Armoured Cars as noted above. Both of these vehicles, which you can see in more detail below, were used for reconnaissance purposes while also being essential for providing a degree of fire support as infantry advanced.
In the game of Bolt Action these vehicles are perfect for harrying the flanks of the enemy and providing a degree of pinning support to help keep units dug in. They are also incredibly nimble and should annoy anyone who tries to shoot at them with their ability to dodge out of the way of incoming fire.
The M8 was the only armoured card used by the US in World War II which speaks to its usefulness in the field. If you're picking up those US Winter Infantry that we looked at over the weekend then I think these would be a great accompaniment.
What do you think of these kits?

Fabulous! Love the paint jobs 🙂
Although not a U.S player myself, I may have to pick these up for the misses!
More kills for my Stug 🙂
I’m looking for an excuse.. Did the Marines use this???
…you had better ask @piers
My info from a fairly comprehensive source is yes. PTO dates as listed were 5/44 through 45. Other info states the following. The M20 was derived from the M8 to replace the M3A1 Scout cars. There was a cargo/passenger compartment, not sure of capacity, most were used In TD Battalions, 2 to a platoon, for local scouting duties and cargo carrying. 3,791 built. Hope this helps.
nice.
Hey gang, little bit of an update. Was watching WW2 in HD this am, the Kwajalein episode. The Marines were moving ashore and there is a shot of a M20 packed with Marines, looked to be about 10 men. They looked to be standing and were packed in pretty tight. Looked to be coming off an LST with a couple LVT in company.
