The Horus Heresy’s Nathaniel Garro Joins The Cast From Forge World
November 30, 2015 by brennon
Forge World have bought out another big personality for use with your Horus Heresy games. See what you make of the mighty Nathaniel Garro who is smiting his foes...
"The foremost of the Knights-Errant, Nathaniel Garro was once a Battle-Captain of the Legiones Astartes Death Guard. Though he served his Primarch with honour and dedication, he was condemned as unworthy and, along with countless thousands of Legionaries who could not be counted on to tread the path of the Traitor, was betrayed at Isstvan III."
"Nathaniel Garro, Hand of the Sigillite, is part of the Horus Heresy Character Series. Armed with a paragon bolter and Libertas, his masterfully wrought broadsword, Garro goes to war clad in ornate power armour bearing the symbols of the Sigillite and protected by technologies and artefacts both wondrous and guileful."
The model is one of the best in the range I think in that it's quite understated and yet looks epic at the same time. I love the sword with the script engraved on it and the sheath just to his side.
What do you think of this new warrior?

I have been following Nathaniel Garro’s exploits in literary and audio drama form for years. it is great to see that a tabletop option is now available, especially when the model is so nice.
The rules are fun as well. He has some rather effective abilities and gear for his points cost, but the very fluffy Oath of Moment rule could easily complicate your battle plan significantly, which seems like a reasonable trade off with the added benefit of very closely reflecting his background as established in the Horus Heresy series.
This is one of the nicest SM armor I seen them make in a long time.
Now that is how to do it! Stunning – I might even have to buy that.
What a stunning sculpt.
Really liking this, helps that I think Garro is an awesome character anyway 🙂
an excellent figure and passably one of the most pivot able characters in the 30K universe?
possibly not passably
So good a model, could we be seeing this as the best sculpt for 2015 ?
I’d call it a worthy contender.
Nathaniel garro rocks
It’s funny how people can see things so differently. I’d like to see the model up close, but it from the photos it doesn’t look anything particularly special to me. Partly I think that’s because the pose looks a bit awkward, balancing precariously on the dead possessed guy. The model seems to float above the scenery a bit. I find the rest of the model a bit stiff too. Not bad, indeed it is actually a nice sculpt. I’m just a bit surprised that this is liked so much more than many of the others. Personal taste is a funny… Read more »
I’ll have to partially agree here. The model itself is very nice although as already said, from the angles in the photo’s, the way the model stands looks a little unbalanced while I’m not entirely sure about the placement of the hand on the sword (it looks to be a little too far up the hilt?).
I’m not quite “getting” how this model is the best sculpt of the year. I suspect the character behind the model is elevating people’s opinions.
Anyway, we all know Saul Tarvitz is the better character.
I do not like the pose but I like the way Garro has been painted.
