Osprey Games Bringing Escape From Colditz Back!
November 27, 2015 by brennon
Osprey Games are going to be working to bring one of the most well known board games back, Escape From Colditz!
This is the 75th Anniversary Edition of the game with Brian Degas and Duncan Molloy working together to bring this game back to life.
The game will also feature new artwork from Peter Dennis who does a lot of work for Osprey on their other games and you'll know him from many a military history book.
You will also get traditional wooden pieces and quirky prisoner-of-war replicas from Dega's private collection
A release date is still quite a way off but it should be on tables by October 2016.
Will you be getting this?

Of course I will get this! Believe the hype over this classic guys, it’s going to be worth the wait.
I remember the original game.
Agreed. This is a great game and fortunately I still have my old copy, but I’ll still be interested to see what they do with it.
I had not heard of this game before, but it looks like a great variant on the cooperative players versus antagonist player game design. Instead of crawling into a dungeon, you are trying to crawl out.
I’ve got this somewhere, memories of family games, will have to go look it out 🙂
Wasn’t there a way to always win by just taking a particular square?
Loved this and dug my old (swastika covered un-PC) copy out of the loft last week to teach my boys. They loved it and quickly learnt that teamwork guaranteed success.
I’ll be grabbing this asap 🙂
AWE-sum! 🙂
I’ll be dragging my copy of the original out of the cupboard again this Christmas, classic board game fun for the family..
