Unboxing: Norsgard’s The Howling Horde

We're taking a look at the world of Norsgard today and start with a peek at one of their newest releases, The Howling Horde Starter Set.
This set features several miniatures all of which are made from metal. These fearsome, bearded baldies are not to be trifled with!

Great to see some Norsgard coverage- it really is something of a hidden gem! The rules themselves are clear and have some nice ideas, such as being able to choose a ‘fighting style’ for your models in combat- so if you are outmatched you can fight defensively and try to hold out for reinforcements or go for all-out attack but leave yourself open to counterattacks. Plus you can play as a straight up one-off skirmish game, or link them together and level up your models etc. The style is what I think of as ‘Rackham-esque high fantasy’ and the factions… Read more »

Great stuff, great range ! I love the miniatures… they were a bit understated because of the sloppy box art, but in truth a lot of them are gems !
I really like the templars. I have them on the list of things to buy, but never got to them yet. I’m more interested in the models and not the game system as I already have too many systems I need to handle.
The Howling Horde are my least favourite models in the Norsgard range. Which says a lot when they’re as awesome as they are! The game is very cool too.
Good stuff. I have all the models and I have to say that they are all excellent.

This is one game I’ve been looking at. Please do some more coverage of Norsgard. The minis look like great fun to paint 🙂
I’m working on a backlog of Pulp City models but then my Norsgard Scarlet Watch are definitely next on the list!
