The Rules For Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game Now Online
November 25, 2015 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games have now posted the Rulebook for the Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game online. You can now get to grips with this revamping of the original format which I think is looking superb...
The Fantasy Flight team have tweaked things slightly with their games of late. Now you have the Learn to Play book AND the Rules Reference manual which helps you with things like timings and the minutia of the rules once you've got going. This is great as you can begin playing without having to wade through too many rules.
If you want a feel of how the game plays from my initial reading then think The Lord of the Rings crossed with Death Angel with a smattering of their other card game mechanics thrown in their too, all with a co-operative twist.
I can't wait for this!

Fairly psyched about this, especially with your Death Angel meets LOTR comparison comment. I haven’t read the rules in detail but the promotional photos make me go a bit squirmy.
This has been tempting me but I really don’t need another card game on my shelves. I am glad to hear they’re sticking with the new rulebook format though as I’ve had a few encounters with FFG books that were a pain in the ass to learn.
Hopefully my preorder will arrive by the weekend. I’m really looking forward to giving this a go although it’s going to have to be pretty damned good to outdo Pathfinder!
That said, I’m very happy to see the Adventure Card Game become a thing.. a distinct card game format that will only grow as long as FFG’s offering can establish itself as a solid competitor to Paizo’s. That has to be good for both games as the competition will surely force them to innovate.
