The Shaltari Fleet Gets Painted Up For Dropfleet Commander
November 17, 2015 by brennon
The Shaltari Fleet has been painted up by the folks at Hawk Wargames with the familiar vibrant orange we've come to expect of this faction. The Dropfleet Commander Kickstarter has sixteen days left and they are still going strong...
Now that is a good looking fleet and it will contrast so nicely against the other fleets in the range AND the darkness of space that will no doubt feature on your gaming mats. Let's take a closer look at some of them...
There are some amazing looking creations in this fleet and I love how finely detail the ships are. They have an almost organic look to them like the Scourge but with a crystalline quality which makes them look far too perfect and sharp. Interestingly it almost echoes how they are in battle. Fine and delicate but with a deadly edge.
What do you think?

They look nice. Id actually use them as alternative eldar fleet in bfg.
Very nice to see some colour on them
These are just a few of the images of the painted minis – there are a lot more from a variety of angles on the kickstarter campaign page:

I was not sure about taking any Shaltari at the start but seeing these and knowing that they will have a unique play flavour meant I just had to have some 🙂
I really like them, I think they would look great in a bone skeletal paintscheme especially as the design reminds me of skeletons and bones.
higly detailed things that try to hard to be different. awsome paint job , dont like the models.
If I may ask, why not?
I wasn’t all that sure of the renders, but seeing the Shaltari fleet all painted up has made me come around and I quite like them now (the Scrouge fleet has also grown on me as well).
Those look awesome.
