The Wild & The Bloody Come To Privateer’s Hordes

October 15, 2015 by brennon

Privateer Press have also been working hard on more for Hordes in the coming weeks. Circle Orboros are getting themselves a Bloodweaver Night Witch and the armies of Skorne get both the Extoller Advocate and Legends of Halaak...

Hubble, Bubble...

Circle Orboros just keep getting better and I love seeing all of these new Tharn characters and warriors like the Night Witch. I think the faction is helped by the fact that it has bloomin' great werewolves in it but models like this one are packed with character and look like they would be fantastic to paint.

Bloodweaver Night Witch

"Even among the Tharn, night witches are regarded as the epitome of Devourer worship. As priestesses and ranking practitioners of the bloodweaver arts, they move across the battlefield within a veil of gore and carnage.

With ruthless animosity they leave behind a trail of butchered opponents, taking from each one tokens of meat and precious organs to fuel their own powerful blood magic."

In this case I would love to work on painting some intricate Celtic tattoos across her body. I think that would add to her mystical look, maybe even daubed in blood red.

Skorne & Hate

The spiky forces of Skorne also get their reinforcements with the Extoller Advocate forcing your troops forward to serve...

Extoller Advocate

"Having shown a keen aptitude for communing with those preserved from the Void, extoller advocates are sometimes chosen to play a more direct role in the empire’s conflicts, employed to coordinate exalted on the battlefield.

In addition to bolstering the combat effectiveness of immortals in their charge, extoller advocates will not hesitate to put themselves in harm’s way in order to fulfill the sacred duty of recovering and preserving sacral stones from fallen immortals and guardians."

Additionally the Legends Of Halaak will be inspiring your forces onwards too, following their example in battle. Valgesh, Cidaar, and J’Deth are ready for a tussle...

Legends of Halaak

"Once respected members of the warrior caste, the Praetorians now known as the Legends of Halaak spent the early years of their careers clashing with one another in house feuds. It was not until their houses were destroyed that Valgesh, Cidaar, and J’Deth would join forces and earn greater acclaim.

When Supreme Archdomina Makeda overthrew Vinter, this trio of renowned warriors went west to offer their services to House Balaash."

While I don't like them as much as The Death Wolves we saw last time I do think they have that awesome Samurai/Ancient Chinese look to them and the characters continue to impress. I have always quite liked the infantry of Skorne but just never their beasts.

What do you think of the Hordes haul?
