Cyberpunk Board Game HINT At Essen 2016
October 11, 2015 by brennon
Human Interface: Nakamura Tower is at Essen this year and they have been showing the game off to backers and more. In addition they have the renders for the finished model for the first stage of their AI/Human Hybrid project AND a painted Justine Clevel too...
Justine has been painted up to look a lot brighter than I would have imagined. She is present with assault rifle, pistol and some rather chunky and awesome body armour too. I really like how the miniatures are coming together as a range...
Talking of how the miniatures are coming together the AI/Human Project is looking superb and while a lot of people thought the extra arms would look strange I think they have come off quite nicely here as part of the grafted on appendages this poor fellow has to bear.
Did you back this campaign?

she looks fantastic painted up 🙂
p.s.
… that’s no render for the first form, that’s a cast 😀
it says so on the kickstarter update 😉
i will probably paint justine in blue’s to look more police like rather than army green
That is an amazing sculpt. Corvus Belli quality.
You should see the shitty quality of the cast. This does not stand a chance against Corvus Bellis castings.
Really? That’s a damn shame. I haven’t seen anything as good as CB in the flesh, I was kind of hoping these guys would hit the same heady heights…!
Justin looks stunning. I just wish that she had more combat pose instead of just standing around. AI Human Hybrid does look promising.
I am SO close to do late pledge on their website
I _did_ do late pledge on their website! 🙂
they have some nice figures.
I visited their booth in Essen yesterday. Supernice guys and the minis, as usual, look even better in real life with some neat paint jobs. Of course I bought one and look forward to paint it.
Late pledged too. Also visited them at Essen a got myself a Justin and another mini. 🙂
I just got up close and personal with my HINT mini officer Gutierez. Very disappointed with the minis quality and fitting. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1803723298/human-interface-nakamura-tower/posts/1310871 Never have I seen such vast amounts of stepping on a minitaure. More than half of the surface is covered with stepping lines. It gets pretty hefty and even sucks details off the surface. The stepping is on the master mini all casts will inherit this shit. The seperate arms didnt come together the way they are supposed to either. A plug didnt fit at all, even though everything looked perfecly clean and snug and wasnt bent the slightest.… Read more »
3-4+ hours cleaning and pinning a CB mini? I find that very hard to believe to be honest. Their minis come quite clean as it is. Regarding Kickstarters I share your scepticism. I think it might not be a format for me since I like to know what I get and when I get it. The only KSs I’ve funded were for RPGs where I already knew that I liked the companies earlier products.
Yet its true. Usually the casts are clean, right, but they do have moldlines 360 degrees and filing them off those nano details takes time. I know people that dont clean at all, and its fine, when they laugh at my exessive worktimes.
And then the matter of pinning, sometimes the the limbs are so thin that I drill them almonst entirely hollow to get the wire deep inside. These are the parts that break almost always. Infinity minis falling apart is a running gag around here,
No, I agree with what you say re the CB minis. I paint just to get them to pop on the tabletop, rather than for photo quality, so I ignore the mold lines and injection bits (?) that stick off the elbow pads of Wildcats and skullcaps of Jaguars. I think it’s realistic to say 3-4 hours if you’re going for gold-standard with your assembly and paintjob.
@yoshi got any photos of the mini ?
been considering a late pledge so it would be useful to see what you mean
… I did notice a slightly grainy look to some of the photos I’ve seen, but I assumed that was from spraying / priming
I too would be interested in seeing some images. @yoshi, where did you get hold of the officer Gutierrez model? i was aware that they were showing/selling the first form hybrid model at Essen but no others.
only interested as i backed this some time ago and am hoping i not going to be dissapointed
Bought him saturday at Essen Spiel. They had quite a lot models for sale there but it was all announced in their pre show catalogue:

I will make some pics and post them in the forum (hopefully) tonight, maybe I can transport a good impression of the flaws, will try to get a macro objektive.
I really want to repeat that I was very exited and looking forward to the game but now I will wait for release and first impressions.
Hi, i would be very interested if you can manage some photos of the issues you had with the model.
Does anyone has similar experience from buying hint minis ?
check the minis out… they look really nice cast and true to the original renders
