Team Yankee Models Spied On The Tabletops Of Essen
October 9, 2015 by brennon
Breakthrough Assault have shared some more cool images of Team Yankee for Battlefront's new Flames Of War venture. Here are some of the Americans and Soviets on the tabletop at Essen...
In the above images you can see the Americans and Soviets clashing over a battlefield blasted apart by artillery fire. It looks like they are trying to secure a vital airfield for their aerial assaults. The Americans do indeed have a plane floating around at the back.
The actual units when you see them close up are looking great and it's nice to see them still moving away from the big head syndrome that we'd seen on so many of their infantry in the past.
This game even has me, who really likes my proper olde timey history, interested in modern warfare.
What do you think of the models?

This the Perry’s and Warlord, I’m going to be so financially broke, but happy
Drool!
The vehicles look great and the infantry aren’t a bunch of cartoonish melon heads, what’s not to like!
Cant wait to see that stuff tomorrow.
There is also a really half decent look at the game in the wargames illustrated in the latest edition. review of the rules and a look at the tableware as well. Looking good but will definitely have to wait far too much stuff to do before this.
The Breakthrough Assault Facebook page now has some extra photo’s and some nice close ups.

I think their Flames of War record pretty much speaks for itself, and since this is a continuation (in some ways) of it, perhaps it’s worth a punt?
I am always first in line for a bloody good witchhunt, but in this case I am not sure who to burn…
Based off of Parente’s social media behavior, During the dust Kickstarter, I don’t know that I’d pin the blame on battle front.
I’m all about this. I want to kill some t-72s, and M1s!
Very tasty indeed.
M113’s squaring off against T-72’s. That won’t end well.
Hung around at the BF booth for a while in the past day. I checked out all of the stat cards they had there as well as parts of the preview version of the rulebook they had. Rules are looking rather solid, like the core FoW ones but with many of the more tricky/strange parts fixed. It’s still recognisably Flames of War, so if people entirely dislike that system, this probably won’t magically bring you around. However, this does seem to provide a nice set of improvements. I was already quite interested before, but after seeing this I’ve decided to… Read more »
