Norsgard Share More Artwork Of Upcoming Egir Tribesmen
September 25, 2015 by brennon
Last week we shared the news that Norsgard were going to be heading back to Kickstarter to fund two new factions, the Outregard Undead Elf and Wulfkin alliance and the Egir Tribesmen. Well, we've got some more of their artwork showing off the Commanders of the Egir...
According to the background these warriors are ruthless and cunning, a key part of the strategy they employ on the tabletop. I really like the aesthetic of these new tribesmen with the addition of plenty of fur and sea creature crafted weaponry.
While a lot of the warriors we've seen so far have been very lightly armoured I'm looking forward to seeing a heavily armoured Egir Tribesman with plenty more bone and shell armour.
As an example of their work in the past check out these sculpts below...
I think the detail is spot on and the models have a nice over the top cartoon feel to them which I like in Fantasy models. The Orcs in particular feel like the ones from World of Warcraft.
Will you be keeping an eye on this?

I have all the models from the first kickstarter and I can tell you the models are very good. I look forward to what they can do with the undead elves.
Norsgard Orcs are my favourite Orc models from any manufacturer. I’m looking forward to great things from them in the future!
I have 2 of the pre-Kickstarter orcs exelent quality – they have ended up with a different type of paint job and are called in to service as Vampires in my KoW undead army
They really do have a nice range.
I would get those barbarians instantly if it werent for that one annoying detail concerning their chest muscles.
@hatamoto – can you tell me what is wrong with chest muscles?
Not sure there is anything wrong, it could well be just what the pictures looks like. The women look fine and its nice to see some ilyad games inspiration going on. What keeps me from buying the male warriors is their chest muscles look too “round” almost to the point of being female in look. Again it could just be a combination of picture/paintjob.
Thank you. Maybe when you will see renders of barbarians from Egir Tribe you will change your mind.
Looking fwd to seeing some more barbs! 🙂
I’m gonna make the dive tomorrow and purchase 2 starters and some additional models. Just not sure which 2 factions… I almost desire all 3 equally, but Scarlet Watch seems like a must for me.
