The Savage Hordes Hit Kickstarter For Mierce’s Darklands
September 24, 2015 by brennon
Mierce Miniatures have now taken to Kickstarter once again to fund the latest of their books, Savage Hordes, as well as more models of course. The Savage Hordes book includes background, rules and the ways in which you can muster factions to do battle in Darklands...
Factions Muster
The two big factions that form the focus of the campaign miniature wise are the Jutes and the Albainn.
The Jutes have very many undead creatures as part of their army and this has been a bigger winner with a lot of people since the last Kickstarter. This Starter Host that you see above gives you some skeletal troops as well as the more specialise Wihtboga and a character, Archer Mildryth.
The Albainn are decidedly more human looking even with their additional feral Hunters. As with the Starter Host above you get a whole bunch of regular troops as well as the specialists and Itaina as your leader.
The Rules
As mentioned above the Savage Hordes book works in tandem with the First Edition Rulebook which should be coming out soon. If you're wondering about how the factions come together in the game you can actually download that aspect of the game for free HERE.
It will be good to see this finally hit the tabletop as a readily available game and the miniature range has grown so much that now it deserves to actually get played.
Will you be getting in on this campaign?

Mhhh too many kickstarters this month ? i hope none of them dies from starvation 🙁
the rat ogre looks good and the skeletons (jutes) if they look like the picture.
Still waiting for the first things I ordered but could get on this if I get enough money in time. The more Irish guys they make the happier I am.
After seeing the Frostgrave undead, I’m not inclined to get in on this. I think you can get about 60 of their undead for about the same price, and let’s not forget the Revenants from Mantic, also great models.
