High Quality Prints Pop Up For Metal King’s RelicBlade
September 9, 2015 by brennon
Metal King Studios have got some high quality prints through of the miniatures for RelicBlade: Adventure Battle Game which is coming to Kickstarter later this year.
There are three main sculpts that we're looking at today including the Female - we're going to assume Spellcaster - that you see above. Following on from her are the Dragonkind and Knight model that we'd seen before in a lower quality material.
The detail level has increased a lot and the lines are decidedly clearer across the whole of the model. I particularly like the work that has gone into the inside of the cloak and the musculature of her legs.
The final model to take a look at is the Knight as you see above. He is a little simpler in design compared to the other models but he looks surly and deadly with a blade which is always good to see. His legs might seem a little slim too but I think that's just because of the 'true' proportions.
What do you think of the progress they've made?

the prints have turned out great 🙂
Those look really promising.
If this is the level of clean surface that 3D printing has gone to I’m happy. You don’t see stepping at all.
I’d really like to know who did their 3d printing for them, or at least what sort of machine/material was used.
The 3d sculpts I’ve seen in person have all needed some work to get rid of surface problems that don’t seem present on these at all.
it’s probably a wax print 🙂 then just cast in resin afterwards 🙂
it costs a little bit extra but it gives a perfectly smooth surface 😉 happy to give advice if you ever need it 😉
Looking forward to these!
