I’ve bought every single Valient Miniatures release and I think they are all great, I’ve also made up my own rules for them and I think these are the best WW2 minies out there for a brilliant price.
they are excellent figures, saw the alpha casts at a show way back and bought a set. Nice variants and simple build. Good conversions possible.
Thing is they are not really 20mm…or rather do not look great next to fantassin, shq, aifix, italeri or the other 1/72 scale figs. Buy just Valiant to avoid weird scale issues and your golden. Wish they where heroic 28 or proper 20mm as id have bought shed loads.

Mr cheese please assemble your Vickers correctly, also snip off the bren tripod on the wall (whilst your at it maybe rest the Piat on the wall)
I should point out that 6mm is easy to paint, as is 10mm, your challenge is to buy, base and paint 1 set of each….dont try to paint the eyes though!

I have to agree. Thank you very much for some historical unboxings. After having been away from the site for the past month or so it is very nice to tune in and see Darrell doing stuff that is not directly related to 40k in some way, or to games workshop at all for the matter. I love those figs, but I have to disagree about 15mm being tough to paint. I think 15mm is spot on easy to paint and whole armies can be done up in about the 1/4 of the time it would take you to do… Read more »
