Fight With The Gangs Of 1970’s New York By Ghetto Miniatures
September 7, 2015 by brennon
Ghetto Miniatures have begun their Kickstarter campaign to fund a 1970s skirmish game featuring gangs that you just be familiar with. See what you think of some of the models below from each of the factions...
The New York Bop
Each of the gangs you see below are part of their interpretation of 1970s New York where crime is rife and the different gangs are fighting for control of territory and reputation. You can download the rules for free as a test HERE.
This game is looking retro in the most literal sense of the word. I could imagine having a bit of fun with the game and making your rather strange gang play out their scuffles to a soundtrack of 70's classics.
New York Bop also has rules for campaign play where you try and take and hold parts of New York to continue your nefarious enterprises. The test rules shouldn't take you long to digest if this Kickstarter has peaked your interest.
Will you be backing this?

“Warriors come out to play”
Need some beer bottles 🙂
First Kickstarter in a while. I’m in, boppers!
Are you Ready? Are You Ready? Are You Ready?
Oh just a little bit excited… pretty much after Kelly’s Heroes, The Warriors is my favourite movie.
Look like a fun little game -one for keeping an eye on
I dig the warriors, but I really like the black cobras.
“Am I the meanest?!”
“SHO NUFF!”
Can you dig it?!
The first figure in the Black Cobras line up is the spit of the late Jim Kelly from Enter the Dragon film and other martial art films from the 70’s and early 80’s and was a very accomplished fighter in Karate. And he is wearing the same yellow gi as in the film and the dojo he comes from in America was the Cobras.
No way, Jim Kelly passed away? Black Belt Jones was a great movie.
Yes he passed away either last year or the year before.
Nice.
