Hit The Desert Sands With New Bolt Action Sourcebook
September 1, 2015 by brennon
Warlord Games have another sourcebook planned for Bolt Action and it has popped up on Amazon. Duel In The Sun is quite fitting considering out recent article series on The Desert War by oriskany and will see you fighting out both the Italian and African campaigns of World War II...
From the blurb...
"With Duel in the Sun, players can take command of the doughty Desert Rats of Montgomery's Eighth Army, the fast-moving and hard-hitting raiders of the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG), or Rommel's mighty Afrika Korps to recreate some of the most iconic battles of World War II--Operations Compass, Crusader and Torch, Tobruk, and Alamein among others.
Offering scenarios, special rules, and new troop types, this theater book for Bolt Action also takes players across the Mediterranean from North Africa, where they can follow the Italian Campaign from the invasion of Sicily, through the battles for Anzio and Cassino, to the final assaults on the Gothic Line."
This sounds great and it will be fantastic to see if we get a range of plastic models alongside this release. There will of course be a lot of tanks to enjoy. Look out for this in February of 2016.
Will you be getting this?
"There will of course be a lot of tanks to enjoy. Look out for this in February of 2016..."
Now I need some Desert Rats too. The bank account will not like this news. 😛
The Perry plastic kits are cheap and have enough in each box to field a decent BA force. The Rubicon releases for Sept. Will add some nice inexpensive plastic British tanks to go with the existing German offerings. It’s mostly for the later part of the desert war.
The Desert Rats box even has alt heads with head gear for the sas and lrdg.
Oh February why are you so far away?????
Double shifts at Warlord. These are flying out the door!
And this is the one I’ve been waiting for. Time to get my mid-war on. Sorry wallet!
Plenty time so save up for this!
Heia Safari!
What a great “excuse” to expand my armies…a must have.
Could almost think they been reading @oriskany s series – looking forward to seeing it
This is awesome, I have been waiting for this!
