Dwarf King’s Hold: Green Menace… an introduction

…so there I was, minding my own business, when up pops a Beast of War and asks me for a few words on what’s new in Dwarf King’s Hold. Me being a generous soul, and him having numerous large and pointy teeth, I naturally agreed. So what is new?

Firstly, we’ve got the imminent release of the second Dwarf King’s Hold starter set: Green Menace. This is a stand-alone game set, like Dead Rising, in the abandoned halls of the Dwarf King’s Hold. This time it pits the Orcs against the Elves in a set of 6 new scenarios.

Green Menace ElfEach side is dramatically different from what you’ve seen before with the nimble Elves dodging out of the way of attacks, and the Orcs getting more dangerous when they take damage! Yikes! When I was testing this one of my players asked if he really had to attack the Orc he was next to. It was, after all, only going to make him angry…

If you haven’t got either game then Mantic have a great offer that includes both sets, with a free metal Dwarf Driller model thrown in, and a special scenario written by yours truly to showcase this unusual figure.

Don’t panic if you are already talented and handsome enough to have bought Dead Rising, those clever chaps at Mantic also have a deal where you can get Green Menace with the Driller and scenario included.

I’ve only time to mention one more thing, and that’s Zombies!

Just so nobody is forgotten, I’ve done some extra rules for those that already have Dwarf King’s Hold: Dead Rising, and are happy with that. Everyone loves Zombies, and so I’ve done some free Zombie rules to add to the fun. They’re being summoned now, and should be up on the Mantic Site any day.

Enjoy!
