Don’t Panic! Site Issues (We Didn’t Break Stuff…Promise!)

Just a quick one here guys. The site is experiencing some problems today, especially for users of BT as a service provider. If the site is messed up for you it SHOULD correct itself over time but if not we have a work around for you to have a go at...
IF you know how to do it you can change your DNS Settings to...
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
...and if you'd like a hand working out how to do that you can see this video HERE.

Win 7,8 and10 users you can bring up the network adapter settings window quickly by pressing “windows key” + r, type in “ncpa.cpl” and a control panel window will open showing all the network adapters installed on your system.
Then choose the adapter you wish to alter the DNS servers on, right click and choose properties, then double click the entry with TCP/IPV4 in its title, and set the dns servers there.
Also for what its worth, BT business doesnt seem to be effected, nor is my home BT connection

Even if you’re not on BT, those DNS settings belong to google, and update practically constantly so even if you don’t change to them now, take a note of them and change to it if you suddenly find you can’t access several websites using your service provider’s defaults.
Just be aware that google do profile requests through there public DNS’s (as do every other free/public service like that) so if you are privacy conscious be aware of that. In other words nothing to worry about unless you are paranoid about google in which case the nets probably not for you anyway 😉
