The Banner Saga Getting Board Game Thanks To Megacon

The Banner Saga is a thought provoking and deeply tactical story game by Stoic Studios where you are trying to keep both humans and Varls (giants) alive in a wartorn landscape overrun by dangerous creatures known as the Dredge.

The combat is perfectly designed for board game play too so Megacon Games are doing that!

The Banner Saga Warbands looks like it's going to be a miniatures driven experience if the photo below from Gen Con is anything to go by. With the uses of big character cards it looks like you might be building a warband and then putting them to task on the tabletop.

I cannot wait to hear more about this. Banner Saga is one of my favourite games of all time and I remember a year or so ago telling the guys at Stoic over Twitter that they needed to get working on a board game with miniatures involved!

Maybe they listened to me!?
