Games Workshop Has Landed!

Contrary to the rumors circulating, GW is in fact here. Their booth is very unassuming, and there's no signage, but they are here selling Age of Sigmar. We will try to grab a chat in the next few days.

Apparently that is only their US FW staff.

They’ve been at Gen Con before. Too bad they don’t have an army display this year.

Also, lets be fair. That is the FW booth, and is pretty standard for FW, and looks no different to the set up FW UK takes to Essen Spiel.

The actual GW booth is this tiny thing, with AoS as the only product there. http://twitter.com/DarkerDaysRadio/status/626802563346747392

But they are TALKING!! 😛 Agh so silly that we are surprised for something so mundane… happy they decided to act like humans,

Actually, FW are very forth coming at events.

There has been some conflicting info. For example there was never going to be staff from the UK at Gencon. Or that they had actually made it. But, if they had, then as Chigg (one of our hosts on Darker Days) put it “those are some convincing US accents”.

So best bet is, that yes, UK staff messed up the visas, and US FW staff have to man both booths.

As wildchevy says, the US team were there manning a GW booth last year. And as doctorether says, Forge World get to loads of shows. It’s not a very auspicious start to the new policy of getting out there and talking to people.

Just wanted to say at last year’s Adepticon Forge World had a huge well stocked and really nice display. This year’s Adepticon stand looked more basic.

Given they actually made an effort to do something it sucks that it all backfired last minute because of their mistake. Good that they atleast got some locals to do something.. Hopefully they dont see this as their chance to run back away again

Well a mistake that shouldn’t of happened as they are an international company and thus should be used to sending staff between companies.

This doubly should not of happened as its to promote a new line that is now 1 of their 2 lines so stuff should be double and triple checked to get it right.

I have to agree that seeing seeing a Forge World booth is nothing unexpected and as has been mentioned the Forge World guys are always happy (very happy) to chat at shows. Simply adding AoS boxes to the corner of the display stock does not make this a GW booth in my eyes.
