No CommentsVictory With The Malifaux 2 Player Starter Set
Gianna and I just got to play a game of Malifaux using the 2 player starter set. It was really well balanced, with fun abilities for both sides- the Guild & Neverborn. The great points for me was having an abbreviated set of rules available as well as everything you need to play in the box - tape measurers and all!
The fate decks were great too, as they have some explanations on them to serve as handy reminders - like the difference between the black & red jokers and whether cards register weak, moderate or severe damage.
And then there was my favorite part of the game...winning! Sorry Gianna. 😉
Infinity Madness!
We set ourselves up right next to the Infinity stand to see the rush and what a rush there was! As, you can see from the stock pile of Operation Icestorm and USAriadna boxes they were expecting a large crowd. They luckly planned correctly as the stockpiles dwindled after only a few hours
A few quick looks at Fantasy Flight Games Cases
Press hour this year was very, very crowded as they combined press and other early entry attendees into one group this year. So we were only able to catch a few quick shots here and there. This is a few shots from the cases at the Fantasy Flight Games display cases. I am still looking for the big ticket item this year from them.

Beautiful Stuff In The Privateer Press Case
The demo tables are packed at Privateer Press, and their display cases were loaded with beautiful minis! The display piece with the train was absolutely stunning! Take a look in the cases for current and upcoming releases.

Are the rumours of GW getting turned back by customs due to working visa issues true?
from what we read on Faeit 212 blog, yes.
link bellow:
http://natfka.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/some-dirt-from-gencon.html
Wow
This is much easier to do at the US border than it might appear – the custom agents are particular about trade shows since the information is often given out that working a trade show is not actually working in the US; it would fall under the business visitor visa – (conference) which is virtually the same as a Holiday Visitor Visa However, if you mention that you will be selling product at the event, you need to have applied for a Business Visitor Visa (sales/selling) or you will be denied entry (though I am highly suspect that anyone will… Read more »
Such a trifling thing to make big deal about. Sad too since GW was making an effort to engage with the public.
Assuming this is true, then the fault is all with GW. You can’t go to work in the US without the right visa.
if the UK team cannot attend, I am sure that the US will.
Some of the US guys weekend might have been made by that – but really it is the sort of story you can’t make up, I would be angry if I where one of the UK peons
Maybe one of the UK peons told the customs guys about the visas to avoid demoing AoS… 😛
Please spend some time at the FFG booth!!!!
Yep. FFG, please. Specifically, anything Star Wars related.
I’m really interested in seeing some Netrunner and Infinity/Angel Giraldez coverage. I wish I was there 🙁
Angel Giraldez <3
Please have a look for Dust Studios and ask them, why they sell my KS Mercenaries packs instead of giving them to the Kickstarter backers…
Another vote for Fantasy Flight and anything Star Wars Armada Please 🙂
Request for a look at Spartan games display )
Try and track down Mike Selinker and find out what’s next for Pathfinder Adventure Card Game after Wrath of the Righteous. I’m really, really hoping for Kingmaker!
Wow love all the great pictures and reports! Keep them coming they are awesome for those of us who cannot attend. Again thanks for the reporting!
please visit the Onyx Path booth, will probably make @dracs very happy and a few others 🙂
Keep up the great work Dawn!
I only do Gencon every few years, and walking the Con floor is one of things I miss.
Can we get some pictures of Mantic’s and Soda Pops Both? Pretty please 😀
You could always find us the next big thing that’s going to take over the industry before anyone else finds it and get BoW a scoop! Isn;t that what press hacks do? 😉
See if you can get a chat with Impact miniatures (booth #1819) for all the Chibi mini lovers out there
