Another Amazing Terrain Piece From Tabletop World!
July 21, 2015 by brennon
Tabletop World have re-issued another amazing looking piece of terrain for your Fantasy/Historical tabletop. The building in question is the Guard Tower, used to watch the tracks and roads into town and keep an eye out for marauding armies on the horizon...
What dwells within the tower? Well, a well armed Guard Tower would probably house a whole regiment of archers who would be able to mount a defence against marauding armies and the tight stairways were easy to defend if you had the right men of quality.
As you can see the Guard Tower breaks down into some very highly detailed resin parts once again. I particularly like the additional detail with the barrels and trough for the horses. These little things help to bring things to life when you construct terrain.
You can see the Tower above from some different angles too. While it's not as intricate as the towers from the likes of 4Ground in terms of levels it makes up for it with insane detail. I do like that you can break it down into multiple levels making it perfect for skirmishing in and around.
What do you think?

In the absence of a company doing any Renaissance terrain that I like, this is the range I’m thinking of building my Carnevale board with. I always think of the aesthetic in Assassins Creed when picturing a Carnevale board and there were several areas in that game played out over older ruins so I think I could work in a narrative of rival gangs fighting to lay claim to a much older city.
I think I am going to be ordering at least one of everything this company does for my KoW table 😀
I am suitably impressed, jealous and dejected in that order! LOL.
that look amazing love the missing slates/ damage bring it to life.
a perfect guard tower for any sword n sorcery gamer?
I’d like Tabletop World and 4ground to get together to make terrain pieces. I think that combination would churn out some great stuff. Off to post this comment on a 4ground post too.
I don’t think Tabletop World needs 4Ground TBH.
I prefer 4ground’s plaster, wood and moving doors.
I’ll take four, one for each corner of my walled town, and then fill it with Frostgrave mini’s. Beautiful stuff.
Thatd be cool for frostgrave
I will have to get it this time around
every time I see their stuff I automaticly hide my wallet. so tempting so beautiful.
always amazing piece of terrain
Just amazing!
very nice
I just love their stuff. Its amazing and it doesnt smell like burned wood.
It strikes me that it would make the ideal starting point for making a clacks tower from the Terry Pratchett’s Discworld; maybe have Vimes, Inigo and some of the watch fight off the Uberwald werewolves.
Some how I could not get my self to make any big modifications to a model like this. Brilliant looking as it is, and the cost of messing it up – I know herself will never let me buy 2 of them
A quick look at components picture indicates it might not be that big a job as it appears that the pyramid at the very top of the roof is a separate piece. It might be possible to magnetize the top of the roof for the clacks tower signal frame and leave the rest intact.
Mind you, I don’t rate my skills that highly to make the signal frame anyway.
More coolness I just need to get it!
