What Shall We Do With the Drunken Samurai?

New Italian game publishers Albe Pavo are bringing out a rather interesting new card game, Sake & Samurai.

In the words of game designer Matteo Santus, "Sake & Samurai is about drunken samurai killing each other." What's not to like about that?

The idea is to drink the most Sake and be the last one alive at the end of the game. Good whole sale martial art slaughter eh?

But this isn't what really appeals to me about this game. No, it's the fact that when you get killed you do not end up just sitting waiting for the game to end. You come back as a ghost, making use of the reverse side of the cards. Since your dead everything takes on a different perspective after all.

So what do you guys think of this? Personally I think this has the potential to be a really fun game, even if your not a martial arts junky like me. If nothing else it could make a great drinking game. Maybe we've finally found a use for that bottle of rice wine.
