Old School, Sci-Fi, Pulpy Starships In Star Crush Kickstarter
July 7, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
Any fan of the old school, Sci-Fi shows - Battle Star Galactica, Buck Rogers, etc, has got to check out the Star Crush Starship Miniatures Production Kickstarter!
These 1/240th scale minis by Crucible Crush nail the nostalgic feel of the starships we grew to love in our youth (which is longer ago for some of us than others!). At the present, there are two ships included in this project, the Commorium Fighter and the Commorium Bomber, with plans for others if the project does well.
I'm not sure what I enjoy more, the nod to days past withe miniatures themselves, or the fantastically wonderful cheesy video they made for the Kickstarter? But the fact of the matter is, it makes me smile when I see it.
What do you think of these pulpy, sci fi starships?

Biddle-iddle-iddle Geronimo!
Those remind me most of “Battle Beyond the Stars”.
Oh Feldercarb! I just gave away my age again.
Lol “Feldercarb!” I haven’t heard that one in a while! 🙂
Oh yes Battle Beyond the Stars, wow that’s a blast from the past,
ANybody else have 2112 start playing in their head when looking at those models???
Why is all this cool stuff on Kickstarter while I’m saving for GenCon?
OMG, I wasn’t even aware that these were schlock! Yikes. Time to wheel myself into a home! How big are the models? Could always use them in other sci-fi, if my melon holds out that long.
Now I want play Lazerburn again
Flash Gordon, no not the ponsy remake, but buster Crab in a spaceship that went round in circles held aloft with a wire as thick as a coat hanger and a sparkler up its ass for an engine. Saturday morning at the star picture house one pays to get in then they open the fire escape to let the rest in, throwing ice-cream tubs from the balcony. Yes and a comic and a portion of chips and walk home because you spent your bus fare. Yes I do remember that!
